I have a whole bunch of 85-91 FJ parts forsale, and need to downsize. Mostly chassis, suspension pieces, wheels, internal & external engine parts, elec parts, wiring harnesses, fuel pumps, fuel tanks, some plastic parts, side covers, scoops, most plastic is scratched and will need paint work. If you need anything give me a try. Parts are in the USA.

Bob,
I am looking for a tail cowling, and both a right and left side panel in descent shape. It does not matter what year of condition of the paint/decals. They will be painted later.
Fred
Bob, have you got an '86 tank in good condition with cap and key?
Pete.
Hi Fred
I asume 1200 tail section? I'll go out and get some pics. Do you need the grab handles? I got a bunch of side covers I'll see whats there. What color you like? unless custom paint?
Bob W
Hi Pete
Sorry nothing mint for r/w tanks. I have 1200 tanks but none are mint. And yes I have gas caps w/helmet lock & ign switch.

Yes, a 1200 tail section with grab handles, the grab handles can be loose, I have an extra attachment bracket. Any pair of side covers will do, as long as the screens are attached and most of the tabs are good. This is for a custom paint project.
Fred
Got it, I'll check later tonight or in the morning.

Thanks for getting back so quickly Bob. I'm in no hurry, I want to replace my '85 an with an '86 version. I much prefer the look of the recessed cap arrangement of the "86. I'll keep looking.
Regards, Pete.
If you wanted to paint one I got a good 89 tank with all the locks. If not I'll look at more 86s than I do. I don't part nice bikes, so nice tanks are harder to find.
Bob W
Still interested in a silver/white '89 tank...
RT I have you covered, still want side covers?
Still trying to find key but if I need I'll drill. My shop just got real tight, winter storage, snow, #tomuchstuff.

What kind of shape are the side covers in?
If you have to drill the cap, it's not the end of the world... I've got to get some cap parts anyway.

I would paint one as a last resort. Not in any hurry so I can wait for a good one to turn up.
Pete.

Yes I do
Bob w
What sort of stock mufflers are on an 84? I have a perfectly good exhaust apart from both rear mufflers being horrible. Not looking for 4 into 1, rather keep the stock system but would be interested in some good condition stock mufflers that would fit an 84 thanks.
I'm in Charlotte racing I'll be back home Tuesday I'll see if any are 1st gen1100-1200 mufflers.
Bob w
OK been quite on here lately, I've been having a few personal things to take care of. But still got part available. To anyone that hasn't gotten a response please try again. I have to much Fj stuff and want/need to downsize. If you got needs ask, I'm just about to strip a blk 1990 next right sides pretty used up left looks new.
Thanks for you patients
Bob w
Bob would you have a fuel pump that would work on a 92
Thanks in advance
Yes I have a few left, all 30k mi or less.
Bob w
I'm in need of a left air scoop for a 1990 fj1200 in dark blue or black ... I can paint it as well. Let me know price and how to pay for it. I'm located in the Pacific Northwest USA.

Mike
Hi!
Do you have square rubber grommets for side panels?
Ivan

Ivan,
The correct size of round rubber grommet can be used there instead.
The round grommet needs to be large enough so that it will become square, when installed in the hole.
Use a silicone lubricant (not oil) to keep the grommet soft and slick.
Cheers,
Red

Thx, will try.
I'll also try to fix mine with liquid rubber to see if it works.

Wooow that's great, I haven't seen them on your site. Have a link?
Hey Randy, I mentioned this in "Parts for Sale" but to let you know. I found fuel tank caps in Yamaha dealer in Croatia. Maybe you could investigate that to stock them for guys from NA because I suppose it would be much more expensive if I would buy it and send it to someone in USA.
Ivan
And I also need right fairing protector. Part No. 36Y-2832N-00-00.

Round Side Panel Grommet (http://www.rpmracingca.com/proddetail.asp?prod=M%2FC%3ARoundGrommet)
That fairing protector and the 1100 fuel cap are NLA in the U.S. At this time we are unable to get them but are looking at trying to get them on one of our next orders from Yamaha.

Hi Robert!
Those are not the grommets I need. I need the square one that holds the bottom of the side cover. Part No. 90480-01390-00. I allready asked you for that one some time ago and you said you don't have them. I thought that in the mean time you got some. Other thing worries me alot these days. I got a rubber boot for the trip reset knob from you some time ago but have no idea where I've put it. :dash1:
Ivan
90480-01390 is also NLA in the U.S. it would seem I have a request to one of my suppliers to check all dealerships in North America for some.

Ivan,
Sorry, I jumped the gun...you are looking for the lower rectangle side panel grommets.
They are no longer available and I did an inventory search when you checked a while back, there are none on the shelves in the US.

In my experience, most shaped grommets can be replaced with round grommets, of the correct size (maybe slightly larger than expected). Copy the hole exactly that you have there to a cardboard or plastic card template, or take the panel with the hole in it to an auto parts store. They can probably find a generic round grommet in stock to fit the hole accurately.

Maybe moderator could delete that stupid smiley of mine in previous post...
Bob's wife has all the FJ parts owned by Bob, along with 3 bikes 84,86,89. She is willing to sell anything and everything.
However, the last couple months have been too overwhelming for her to worry about any of it.
As things settle down I will try and post some of the parts and bikes to help her out.
I'll try and keep an eye out for people looking for parts that she may have.
