Gentlemen,
As mentioned, several months ago, on a fine and clear spring morning while in the high desert of Utah, there was a most disagreeable encounter with the local wildlife: http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=19516 (http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=19516)
Damage to the FJ was extensive. Thanks to fellow FJ owners and the crew at RPM, I was able to acquire the parts necessary to begin repairs.
However, as it turned out, the frame was damaged at the steering head. With the help of the gentleman from RPM a rolling chassis was acquired. My original engine, wheels, suspension, and accessories, etc., were installed into the rolling chassis
Following a shake down run to the Bay Area and the flowing week to RPM for a final once over, I completed the sojourn to Texas via Missouri which was so rudely interrupted.
It should be noted the color scheme is not stock. Other than it being said the colors are rather trendy for my mundane personality, most comments are somewhat positive....!

Mike,
Glad to hear that you are okay.
That bike looks amazing! Happy trails!
.
Very nice! Excellent recovery. You should install blades or something on the front to cut the elk cleanly in half next time, like those helicopter wire cutters.
The resurrected bike looks great. Glad to see you all healed up and back on the road. :drinks:
On your way back home, swing through Wichita for a visit.
Fred
Looks better than new. Hot :sarcastic:
I think the wildlife will now stop at the road side to get a good look instead of trying to dart past.
Good Job Mike, those are appropriate colors for your midnight train.
Take care amigo and beware that Bambi had some older brothers, they have horns and they are pissed.
Looks good Mike - Ride on!
Glad you got the bike put back together and running right.
Be safe out there.
See you on the next go-round. :drinks:
Night Train II
Welcome to the Resurrected Crew
Having seen Mike's bike in the flesh, I can say I liked the paint scheme enough.
Black flames on silver cut outs kinda suits the 'night train ' theme.
I think new owner and bike have found each other as per unwritten Fj lore.
So it shall be, now and forever more.
All hail the men and their mighty steeds.
its alright I guess :good2:
Let's wrap it, Mike!
Interesting paint scheme.
Glad to see you FJ mounted, once again!
