Ok here's what I have come up with. MADE IN THE USA
My buddy can make them for around $140.00ish non painted 5 or more at a time, the more we buy the less we pay.
The jig is the large cost once that is paid the price of the bars will go down.
I can give him my 86 bars to make that jig, but would need later model ones for that jig.
I also have a buddy that powders for $25.00 pr, or you can paint them yourself.
We are also checking into the up charge to stainless steel, so if you would like that please speak up. (Polished stainless that has pats name all over it)
If someone can do better than this, please let us know.
If anyone has a better idea how to make these, improvments , please let me know.

I need crash bars for mine!
What's the deal?
Not enough intrest yet, If more people chime in we will do something. If not it's a dead thread.
Once the jig/jigs are made they will go down in price.
We will make them fit better, the tabs will be welded using my spare frame's as jigs so fitment is much better.
can be done in either mild steel, stainlees steel or aluminum.

I'm down for a set.
I need a set of bars for my 89.
I hope that there is more interest in you offer to have them made this summer.
Sounds like a good deal to me.
Thanks
I'm interested. I have an 86. This may be dead topic. Sorry, I did not notice this post earlier.
Mike
If there's enough intrest, I will think again about doing this. If I do this, it will be in steel, stainless, and alum what ever is wanted. It is all about building the jig.

Hi Bob,
I would love to get a set for the '85 but I think they are different from the '86s? Or did they change at a later date. I have a set on my '89 I would be willing to remove for the jig set up.
james
I'd commit to buying a set if these if they end up getting produced. I have an '89.

Keep up the intrest, :good: things may/will come from this. 6 and counting, need more. :shok:
Jim I think/assume they fit, will check my 86's to Travis's 85 as soon as I see that bike again. I am also gonna check how they fit a customers 91 to see the difference in the bars. Last gen FJ are different according to the web site, stay tuned in.

Ok, one set for my 86' as well....
I'm up for a set for my 90 3cv. Sounds like you have a quorum :) Not sure what metal I want yet . . .
Dazza
I would enjoy a set for my 1990, and a set for my 1992.
Steve
still like a set for my 84 (popcorn)
This looks like a really old thread, but are these still available? Depending on the price I'd like a set for a 1987 and a 1993.
