And you guys thought Ed's rig was big...

This is what parked next to him at the KOA, you can see Ed's "little" trailer next to it and in the background.

This guy was not an FJ'er and the back door never came down to see what was inside...

The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

With all those ambulances lined up in a row you guys had the safety thing covered. Coool.  :good2:

I talked to the guy.  He was a very nice guy, up from Santa Rosa (~100 mi south of Willits) with his family for a Little League baseball game his son was playing in.  He further told me they typically haul a bunch of dirt bikes, but baseball isn't the same as dirtbikes, so the back end was empty.
In case you're wondering, I did NOT have trailer (Caravan) envy.  As they say, that's too big for anything but looking at.  31 ft is REALLY enough!

KTM in twisties?  Were there twisties?  Actually, it's a joy to ride.  Easy, maneuverable, very responsive, lots of wheel travel front & rear.  Narrow tank/seat combo, leans until you give up.  Throttle is hard to modulate, especially solo; 2-up was easier than solo.  Solo also showed a problem with front wheel staying attached to the ground; 1st, 2nd, 3rd- a bit too.  Brakes are great, but not really stressed like a 550+ lb FJ.  Lots of [size12pt]go[/size] also.  Doesn't like to pull a load under 3,500 rpm, about where the power starts coming.  Redline is 9,500, but 8K is fine so far.  Suspension was set fine for 2-up as delivered, solo was too stiff.   I guess I need to get some adjustment parameters defined.
In other words,  I like it, Sue liked it.  I guess it's another keeper.

It would be cool if someone could add names to a few of the group shots for those of us living in the antipodes. I'm sure many of the people featured are well known by name but not by sight.
