I had stored my fj for 3 years and forgot where this goes connects.it's the silver lined hose I'm looking to where it connects. Thanks for any help.

I'm going out on a limb here, but it looks like that is the vacuum hose that goes to your ignition advance located on the right side under your fairing. That vacuum hose should connect on the vacuum port on your #2 or #3 intake manifold (between the heat shield and the engine).

The reason I'm saying that I'm going out on a limb, is that I'm assuming that you have a late model '89-93 FJ.

Go to your Profile (button at the top of this page) and on your signature line, put in the year FJ you have.
That way it will automatically appear on your future posts...

and in the future, I wont have to guess....

Pat's correct as usual!  Based on the color of the tiny bit of fairing visible in the background, it's a '92 or '93.

Thanks. I don't see where to connect it. Is it under shielding?

In the diagram, follow the line from the hose marked #29.

This is for the 89' model, but the 1991 model is plumbed the same way.

I'm no model expert, but I thought they'd dumped the vacuum advance by then.  ??

Mine is a '93 and there's nothing like that on mine, must be particular to the U.S. models if this is a U.S. model.

Ok, I have liked and cannot see where this connects. I filled the diagram but do not see any plug. Does anyone have a picture they can snap of 1991 connected? I also replaced the battery and now hear the pump go but it won't start. Lights come on and when I hit the start button it all goes off. The pump cuts off after 5secs. Again any help is appreciated.

The pump cuts out once the fuel lines are pressurized and the light will dim when you press the starter button due to the extra load on the battery that's all normal behavior.

i understand that is normal but it does not try to crank after that.
