This past weekend I spent some quality time with my trail-buddy (she loves going for rides in the Jeep).
We went with a local 4x4 group (RocOn4x4) that I run with frequently. We ran "Hackett Gulch" down to the Platte River (crossed it a few times). We had lunch down by the river, and came back out via "Longwater Gulch"
Spent most of the day running these trails, and afterwards stopped in Deckers for a burrito and a couple beers.  :drinks:

We got some good views of the back side of Pikes Peak.

It was an awesome day to be out in the mountains, with the fresh air and all the gorgeous scenery. :good2:

cool pics Alan ... last time there was snow.

Yeah, it's pretty much all gone except for the really high altitudes.

Most of the day Saturday we were between 7,500-9,000 feet.

They are first-gen Camaro hood vents.  :good:
Scored them on e-bay a few years ago for $25, drip-trays and all.
I modified them slightly to serve my purpose, and they help quite a bit.
These XJ's generate some pretty high under-hood temps when you are crawling up a trail.

Colorado kicks ass!
It sure does!  :good2:

This is where we were Saturday. We aired-down the tires at the Fire Station in the little village of WestCreek.
