You guys are really gonna need some electric heated gear for the Sierras....seriously.
I've got my trusty, never leave home without, Tourmaster heated vest and I'm gonna try out my new Oxford heated grips (and laugh at San Dimas Mike)

I've been watching the 10 day weather forecast and holding my breath... uncommon late spring snowfall in the mountains.

Tuolumne, Sonora and Monitor passes have been closed more that they've been open.

keeping my fingers crossed.

Pat, where did route the wire for your vest?

You're going to love those grips and you will use them way more than you imagine. Mine must be on their 7th Winter by now. My ride the other weekend through the mountains had them all day every day and they will be on for another 10 hours tomorrow, can't kill them.

Fantastic value for money.

I don't about the US, but budget accommodation here usually means a shortage of power points, even worse of you're sharing a room and you need to charge two of everything.

Last trip I took one of these, made a big difference.

It cost $10 and is spaced for chargers.

I would add a spare key to the list.

Pat, where did route the wire for your vest?

Nothing fancy. I just connected the leads to the battery and ran the cable out the left side, between the seat and side panel. The plug on the vest is on the left side. There is a neoprene eyelet in my rain liner for the cable to pass thru..
I have an adapter I use that allows me to plug my Battery Tender in the vest cable so the one cable does dual duty.

Thanks Noel for the tip on the Oxford grips. I bought them based on your recommendation. They are high quality.  :good2:
