Soft clutch
« on: June 04, 2015, 06:32:08 PM »

Ok I have through the clutch section and have partially determined my problem but now don't know what to do I replaced all the clutch plates but when I took everything apart I made the mistake of touching the clutch lever and pushed the rod out when I reassembled everything yes it was hard. I took everything apart I took the 3 screws out the other side of the bike pushed the piece back in sorry I don't know the names of the part put the clutch plates everything back on to specific torque settings and now it is soft it appears that the slave bleed nut is not staying in position or there is insufficient pressure on it. what next guys

I don't know if I am reading this right, are you saying the clutch slave bleed valve is not staying screwed in? Do you have pressure at the clutch lever? So you have the clutch slave pushrod back in position, the clutch slave is bolted back on with the 3 bolts. If that is right and you have no fluid dribbling out from the bleed valve, I would bleed the clutch line properley and you should have pressure back with a working clutch.
