Hi Folks,
Proposing a Ride & Camp – Boarder Ranges, Kyogle, Casino  to Lawrence (Clarence River) & Brooms Head Camp. Who's Keen

I am looking at heading down next Saturday morning 3rd June ( possibly meet at Beaudesert) & head over the Boarder Ranges,  or Via Woodenbong  to the Clarence River & then onto Brooms Head... I haven't checked availability yet, but can't see it being an issue, if not there will be other options.

I want to try out my new saddle Bags (Nelson Riggs CL85) and some camp gear... in prep for next years Rally

I'm sure there will be cabins for those that don't want to Tent it...

I know its short notice & I need to be back to Jimboomba to watch munchkin play Soccer for 1300hr on Sunday.

Some Company would be great & if anyone knows the roads even better.... Keen to hear

Cheers
Andrew

All Good Ray,
hopefully the weather holds, this weekend has been sensational... The Northern NSW (rivers) area is a fabulous part of the Country.

Depending upon my trip home, I may hit you up for a coffee and tour of the shed if that's OK.. always keen for someone else's insight.

It would be great, with a bit more notice, to arrange a group ride down that way.

Cheers
Andrew

:drinks: Always welcome. Still have the '94s carbs in pieces, although now they are nice and shiny, ready to be rebuilt ( just waiting on an important shipment from RPM to put the carbs back together :) )

HI Bro ... You have to work on Saturday so I guess you won't be up then ... lol ... you always have something apart ...

Serious now, what did you think of the Shinko Tourmaster tyres, might be more of my way of riding and cheaper?

Doesn't matter they are gone now?
It's great to throw the leg over. :drinks:

Might be a bit hard to find these. Gareth has them on his bike, (in the thread below this one), but the useless Shinko US and the Aust sites don't list the 120/70/17 front tyre size. they list the rear 150/80/16. But if Gareth has the fronts they must be available somewhere. Old reports on them get good approval ratings, comparisong/pricing to the Pirellis would be good to read as well. As long as they are not outrageously expensive, have the grip and go for long miles, thats what we want I guess, :)

Hey Mark,
I might be up for a beer at either the Lawrence Pub or Brushgrove if either of these work for you ... or there are three in Maclean to choose from...

Depending upon how I' m traveling I could give you a call from Casino if your up for a catch up..

cheers
Andrew

Hi Andrew
A beer would be good. I am thinking the Top pub in Maclean (the one in the middle of the main street, closest to the roundabout). I will send you a PM with my phone number. Not sure how well you know the area down here. If you are coming from Casino, head towards Grafton on the Summerland way, the turn left onto Pringle Way towards Lawrence.

We have another member down here too at Iluka, Dave Innes ( Davo231481 ) he might like to catch up too. He is on Facebook.

Hi Mark,
was great to catch up - what a fantastic part of the Country you live in... I didn't get any video footage( must put in more effort next time)
The Ride was fantastic, Brooms Head is very picturesque (although a little breezy & cold at 3am). I came home almost the same way except for the run to Woodburn, Coraki and then to Casino  - awesome country and roads.
Have attached a couple of pics of the Lawrence, Woodford Ferry Crossing and Brooms Head...

I'd certainly to it again - taking in a lap of the island as well -

till net time
Cheers
Andrew
