Dearest FJ Forum Administrator(s),

On the fjowners.com home page, before you log in, there is a button at the top titled "Members". Pretty useful information, that USED to be available, even if you had NOT registered or logged in.

Once you log in, the button is no longer visible, nor do I find it, or the information it revealed, in any obvious place.

Currently, the permissions for viewing that information has changed, and you HAVE to be a registered user who has logged in, in order to follow the link. However, as I stated before, it is no longer visible after you log in.

Yes, you *CAN* copy the link, log in, then paste the link in a new tab, but this is cumbersome, and certainly not intuitive...

Additionally, the button for "FJRally.com" now does nothing, as the domain name probably expired.

I would like to humbly request that the "FJRally.com" button be removed, and replaced by a functioning "Members" button, availble to logged-in members.

Respectfully submitted,

Steve

Steve, the Members info is visible but only once logged in. At the bottom of the home page is FORUM STATS, [More Stats], General Statistics, Total Members, click on the linked number of members.  So it is a bit like turning right 3 times to go left. The FJRally.com does not belong to Randy. If the hosting is no longer maintained then yes, I agree that it should be removed. It is a shame to loose that history. I guess not all things on the web stay on the web.

I raised the point about the FJRally.com site a few months ago. Randy responded that Marsh still owned the site, so I did a little checking and a "whois" search (GoDaddy) does show that it's still registered to Marsh. I PM'd Marsh about it but I never heard anything back.

It'd be a shame to lose all of the pictorial history that's on that site.

There's more info, but I've removed it since it contains "personal identifying information" - address, phone, etc.
