I rode into work tonight. There were no other bikes to keep Brownie Thunder company. The temperature was not really bad. A balmy 45*F

Man up Ray, I sometimes have to ride til lunch time for the temp to climb that high.

I was in Tumut a few weeks back, it was -5 as I rolled (crunched) out of the carpark, after knocking all the ice off the bike. After local advice, I then cooled my heels for a couple of hours until the sun hit the road out.

I've been out on the bike today, clear blue skies and 27 deg, give me 7 deg any day, too hot. I do not like riding in Summer.

My favourite riding temp is 17C.

"Man up Ray" gee that is tough, Queensland might have warmer weather but we (I've been here for what seems like 15years) have bugs that will eat a cow alive, stand in one spot too long and you'll lose an arm. We wear motorcycle gear to protect us from the rodents not for road safety, now thats tough.

Ribbert stay in Vic with their -5 degrees its safer (are you buying a Harley soon?)  :yahoo: :rofl2:
First major bike in my life was a Mach III widow maker.

John, don't go giving those Victorian one of our great towns. Tumut is in New South Wales.
Minus 5 keeps all those "bugs" in their beds longer and our visors stay cleaner for longer.   :good2:
PS. last time I spoke to Noel, he was toying with the idea of buying a Harley. He said not to tell anyone, so keep it between us.  :rofl2:

Queensland ! thou art a land of pest :
From flies and fleas we ne'er can rest,
E'en now mosquitoes round me revel ;
In fact they are the very devil.
Sand flies and hornets just as bad,
They nearly drive a fellow mad.
The scorpion and the centipede,
And stinging ants of every breed,
Iguanas, lizards, and poisonous snakes,
Deadly fever with the shakes,
Bandicoots and thieving rats,
Bears, opossums, and native cats,
Wallabies and kangaroos,
Native dogs and cockatoos,
Barcoo spew, rot, and sandy blight.
Dingoes howling all the night,
As well as hosts of croaking frogs,
Curlews, quails and yelling dogs.
Carpentaria alligators and crocodile
Cause one to fear, dispel a smile :
Kanakas, Chinese, and murderous Blacks,
Frightful roads and outlandish tracks,
Spinifex and desert sandy,
Horrid rum and wretched brandy,
Bad tobacco and ad valorem,
These troubles — who could e'er get o'er 'em ?"

Forgot to add - lots of Harley riders.

There's nothing funny about that, it's all true. Anything that can bite, crawl, sting, or suck blood up there is about 6 times bigger. You don't run over cockroaches up there, you run into them.

I'm laughing because the first thing I did is look for your address - Florida!!! LOL.
C'mon up to Ontario and say that :)

Actually this week we're expecting 20 degrees C - a whopping 68 F - but probably winding it down after that.

Still looks like a Harley to me,

Wrong cylinder angle, wrong color...looks more like a Guzzi.
