First, I put in my two weeks this morning and those two weeks could never go quick enough.

So I've made a list of what I need to do:

1) Install Avon Spirit tires, balance, new nice 90 degree aluminum valve stems
2) Install new rotors and brake pads, front and rear
3) Check wheel and steering bearings
4) Install the lower Buell footpegs and adjust controls accordingly
5) Check and adjust valves, replace valve cover gasket
6) Replace spark plugs
7) Sync carbs (get to try the Morgan CarbTune)
8) Remember to decide on what gearing to go with - right now, it's the biggest stock FJ sprocket available, and it's a blast. But, with possible trips coming up - may want to drop it a bit....
9) I now there are a couple of other things, at least this list will help me remember these......

Bring on the weather!

Where did you get the Buell pegs from? I thought that they've been out of production for quite some time now.

I bought them from the local Harley dealer. They had to order them, but it only took a few days.

18T front / 40T rear. Perfect IMHO.

Yep, I agree with Rick...18/40 is perfect

I went back to the 40 rear from a 42, 17 front, may try the 18 sometime.

Mounted tires with 90 degree valve stems today, they balanced out nicely, needing 1oz or less.

New rotors, bolts and HH pads installed as well.

Took longer than expected - my battery hand tool died so everything was manual, just like the good ole' days.....

$6.35 a gallon for 110 is a steal. I pay double that for VP fuel.
I wish I had a pump like that where I live.

It's also great fuel to use (with oil) for those 2 stroke yard tools - blowers, trimmers and the like.

I've been paying $20/gallon for the pre-mixed RTU stuff, this will save me some money and the yard tools will perform better/last longer.

Be careful with those Kerker cans. I lost one on my '92, the aluminum fatigue cracked and broke off right after the clamp. Luckily I was by myself with no other riders behind me.
A poor design with the weight of the can cantalevered like that.

Riding down a desert road, listening to my music, life is good...when all of a sudden GGGRRRAAAWWW.
I thought a helicopter was hovering above me....

Keep an eye on them.
