Brought it home today.
Stopped off at the car wash on the way.
Popped the tank off this evening. One of the bolts broke. Good to get that out of the way.
Side covers came off without damage thanks to the use of patience and a body tool.

Yeesh, you've got a lot of cleaning on your plate.  I like how you got the breaking a bolt out of the way, right away.  Funny.  I like stories like this, hope it has a happy ending.

Good for you Steve!  :good: You saved her!
She will take a lot of work and patience on your part to repair the years of neglect.

Kudos!  I love to see this happening. Let us know how we can help.

Wot Pat said!  :good2: :good2:

But, it's an FJ. It will return your love for many years.

A mate got my project bike running (just) and it is in a much sorrier state. Mind you, it lived in a desert for most of its life, then by the beach for a few years. I think living in a snowy winter for a few years might be a bit more harsh.

To borrow a term from real estate, it has good bones.

Thank you all for the encouraging words.

I'm going to take the title in Monday. The VIN is incorrect on the title, missing one 0 - someone made a little error back in 1993.....

Missouri is different than the rest of the country the DMV and police are actually polite and helpful.

Picked this up today - a Ventura Rack system.
Had not had time to do much research, appears well made.

FJ1200W

Had the solo seat reupholstered, picked it up this morning.

I plan on putting it on my 1989 FJ1200 - I never did check to make sure the 11 and 12 interchange......

I'm more than pleased with the aesthetics, it's what I wanted, to each their own.

I'll wait for the weather to get closer to 50 before I pull the bike out, it's buried.....

Oh no no no, it's just everything else is inside the garage and it's packed.

Glad to hear no issue with the seat fitting.

Whew!
