Bought my bike as a project, that's how I found this wonderful forum. I have an 85 FJ1100. I've had the bike for about a year and a half, finally getting around to getting it back together. Want to say that I found a lot of information on here as a lurker, but figured I would join and say hello and thank you
Still working on getting the ol girl back together. Front masters have been swapped, carbs changed, got it running.  Need some air pods, figure out the turn signals, and then worry about the cosmetic situation

Welcome K, or gip. What would you like us to call you? (keep it family friendly)

Happy you could join in the other part of FJ fun. The crazy digital campfire....
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

'86 Ambulance - Bent frame, cracked case, due for an overhaul
'89 Stormy Blue - Suits my Dark Side

Either is fine. Kevin is where the K comes from.
A little about me... Guess I am now kind of middle aged, 42. Work as a laborer. Like pretty much everything that has an engine.  More on the bike... I bought in non running, partially disassembled shape. Seller said didn't have spark. I tinkered, got spark. Would fire and spit and sputter, carbs... Got lucky, set of carbs off eBay and ol girl runs decent. Everything seems to work, other than the turn signals. Have swapped out both front brake master, and the clutch master.

Welcome aboard, Kevin. Take a moment and add a signature line with info about your bike for future posts so you don't have to explain every time. Also add your location to your User info. Glad you registered, this place is amazing for these old bikes.

Welcome Kevin. What Rick meant to say is this place is amazing for these old farts on here with a wealth of knowledge about these bikes. Not that I am old or knowledgeable.   :scratch_one-s_head:

A pistol is like a parachute, if you need one and don't have one you will never need one again.

Fred, he beat you to it. I approved his pin on Friday. One more member to add to my visit list when I get to that part of the world to visit family.
