Found it on ebay and local seller. It was in similar condition and had almost identical mileage to the stolen one, 76k klm. Came fitted with Staintune mufflers, repadded and lambswool covered seat and Koni progressive fork springs. Have since upgraded front and rear suspension from RPM. It has been set up for two up riding. The previous was a grey import and was a 95 model, same colour. Insurance covered AU$3500 purchase price.

In the states the '91 model year was offered in this color only. The stripe is pink. Looks kind of red in these photos but I that is just the lighting.

Urban_Legend

The Pink Stripe is available here in Australia, but is rare. Richard ( RoverFJ1200) picked one up a few months ago, but I think his was badged as a 90 model.

Hey Krusty, I've always been meaning to ask you, of all the bikes in your impressive stable, do you have a favorite?

I think that rare 4 cylinder Honda CB350f would be my pick. Only made for 2 years 1972-74
After growing up with the early CB350 twins, I really loved my little root beer brown '73 CB500 4. What a smooth little engine.

Sorry for the thread drift...

Ribz0 The Pink Stripper is a bit of a holy grail. Not because there was anything different mechanically, but just because it is rare colour scheme.

If you are a car guy, you will know the importance of having quality tools, because if you get bitten by the Moditis bug, you will be using them

One word from the wise. Invest in an Allen bolt carby kit from RPM - Replaces all the JIS (Japanese Imperial Standard - slightly different to Phillips head) screws in the carbs and a full set of O rings too.
I like the Allen key bolt set for the rest of the bike too (EBay)

They will make life easier for playing with stuff.

Hi ya Mark..

Ooooo... i do like Holy Grail stuff!!! Yes... i do appreciate quality tools and have accumulated.... well... lets just say a few... I hear you there... I am a fan of allen key stuff to!

However... I am a bit of a purist... not saying im not into mods... but its gotta look like it was meant to be.... my gear head days have past and although i can say im far from boring, i enjoy the nostalgia and the sheer enjoyment of old school.... My Mrs has succumb to it, under sufferance at first, but she is my partner in crime now...

That is a very comprehensive kit indeed!!
