Miata! Bzzzzzz Bzzzzz Bzzzzzzz

And it definitely doesn't bzzz...

I wasn't expecting the pipe to turn cherry red. by the time I snapped the photo it was still glowing...

Top speed this weekend, 175 mph while spinning the tires in all four gears at the California Shift S3ctor event (https://shift-s3ctor.com/). More photos and some video links to follow in a separate post.

OK, THAT's not a Miata, and you damned well know it. Also, does it just go straight, or can it handle a corner will all that go...?

Come on now, we just made the front air dam this week to try for the 200. Until then, from the outside 100% Miata. Under the hood is a Chevy, but the suspension is still 100% Maita parts with exclusion of aftermarket coil over shocks and wilwood brakes.

It's been to thunderhill, that's when we figured out it needed better brakes.

I'll get a photo from there.

Once we get it dialed in, you ready to race...? :bomb:

Hmmm, Robert, was that a black flag I saw? (Yes, I know the story)

I believe it was. The wine and cheese Porsche guys don't like it if u dip a few tires off and bring a bit of mud back on the track.  :empathy3:

Was this a 1 mile run or ??  I've gone 170 in my TTRS while in Germany.  That was fast, but the car was completely comfortable at speed.  I can't imagine nearly 180 in that Miata...  nor how you'd cart around the testicles required to even try.

Great work RPM and Ryan in particular.  What's next for the beast?

A standing 1/2 mile; 0-175 at the mile mark blowing the tires off everytime the Turbo spooled up and generated more than 6-8 psi of boost.

Going to get the back planted better and go for that 200 mark.

Mechanical grip = Zero horsepower loss.

Wing = Aerodynamic drag = horsepower loss...

Going to try mechanical grip first.
