Hey guys and gals, over the past 2 years I have fallen in love with the FJ 1200 and I am actively looking to own one. Currently I have a '98 gsf600n (Suzuki bandit 600 naked), that I am working on selling/ trading this riding season in order to purchase my new found love. I'm not scared to work on bikes that need some TLC, but my expected budget doesn't really meet the cost of the average fj. I am hoping to have roughly 3k by mid summer (money from the bike + working non-stop). Is anyone out there looking to sell a bike within my budget? I'm living in central Kanas currently.

Welcome to the Fj insanity. There is an 89 fj on fleabay right now with 22,000 miles. Looks pretty good. Pics look like all it needs are new tires. $2300. Aurora CO. Shouldn't be 2 far from Kansas.

Thank you, I'll look into it. Only downside is that I won't have the money for a couple months. Maybe more will be on the market by then

Just keep an eye out, and be willing to travel to get it. I just picked up an absolute peach for $2,000. Just keep looking, they come around every now and again

Sorry for late reply. I'm currently living in Manhattan, ks. I would love to join people for a group ride sometime soon. And that bike in Minneapolis is gorgeous!

How about this one - looks cheap enough and together enough to be the basis of a great resto-mod machine over the next couple of years while you ride it around. VA is closer to Manhattan than California ! Send me a pm if you want any more info - I can give you more of the ad details

It’s a 1989 registered 3CV model with 57,000 miles - owner says it runs and rides well.

When your ready and stay patient...a $3000 budget should get you a nice FJ. Then dont ever look at this site again. Moditus can be very contagious.

Oh man, a big roger on that one Mike. I've already spent more that twice what I paid for my whole FJ and it's not nearly done yet.

I don't think it is, Ryan - JPaganel's bike was advertised in Minnesota, this one is in Virginia........ unless I'm missing something (which is probably highly likely, given my age and senility ) ?
