The bikes are loaded and ready to pull out for the West Coast Rally. Just waiting for Tuesday morning to come.

It will be great to see some that I have not seen in 5 years. Meet some new riders.

It will be good to see you as well Fred.  Are you taking Interstate 80?  If so, you're going thru Reno.  You might reach out to Travis Legg and meet up.

Bike is reassembled and test ridden.  One more test ride tomorrow before the Big Leave.

My plan is to run i-70 to Delta, Utah and pick up US50 to Reno. I contacted Travis about a week ago.

I left Wichita about 6am and headed north to I-70 then West to Denver. As I approached Denver the cloud cover was very dark and menacing. I considered altering course and head towards Fort Collins than pick up I-80 in Laramie. Looked at the radar and Laramie was getting hit hard with snow and not so much on I-70 through the tunnel and down into Grand Junction. I-70 it was. Leading up to the Eisenhower tunnel was rain, but not that bad. Once through the tunnel... A whole different story... A snow storm. Luckily, the snow was melting as it hit the pavement. The snow and rain cleared up before Glenwood Springs and had smooth going into Salt Lake City. Heading into Reno we just missed a hail storm that looked like it dropped about 2 inches of Hail. Saw a couple of large Dust Devils in a huge valley between Winnemucca and Reno.
We got to Reno and met Travis Legg for dinner and followed him to his house. Rolled out the mattress pad and sleeping bags for the night. Gassed up and made a mad dash for Hayfork.

We arrived at the Bar 717 Ranch and the good times began. It was great seeing everyone. Meeting a few new riders and placing a face to the name.
There was a tent city. An all time WCR record of 8 tents.

Props to Frank for getting the rally organized and the staff of the Bar 717. A great venue all around.

We had a record amount of tents and with record amounts of rain throughout the country this spring, many decided to trailer.
