I will be unable to attend this year. I couldnt get the time off, as the fair is in town, and we are expecting to be ridiculously busy. Sorry gents, Hopefully I can make the WCR!!

Ryan, you will be missed.

See you in 2020.

So, how do I get ready for the RPM Fall Rally...?

I replace the water main to the shop... :pardon:

They are replacing 5th Av outside of the shop door. That includes replacing the tap water main line, the sewer line, adding ADA sidewalks and bump out islands and I have been told a new 4 way stop sign at the corner when they are done. Construction is scheduled through late November. They have removed the roadway and the sidewalks around the shop. So, since the sidewalk is exposed and the water main was installed in the building when build new in the early 50's, I decided it was time to replace it. I dug out under the building about nine feet to access the point where it enter the building through the concrete floor. I pulled out the old galvanized pipe and have replaced it with new copper piping. I have to wait for the city to shut off their valve so I can replace the old gate valve on my side for a new ball valve.

The city has already replaced the sewer line from the old clay pipe to the green PVC you can see in the photos.

So, on a housekeeping note. Everyone needs to enter from the west to the front of the shop on I st. You cannot access the roll-up door unless you ride on the dirt road. We will bring everything in & out of the shop via the front door this year.

Once again this year, this is a BYB (Bring Your Booze) event. I will have ice chest available for you to use to chill.

I will be feeding everyone on Saturday night at the shop and will have tea, lemonade and water.

So, pardon the dust, because the place is covered in it this year due to the construction.

Looks like you're out in the country now.  With all the OG's attending the Rally, you're gonna need that new sewer main.
Now you guys can have sand drags out in front of the shop!

If LA Mike owned an FJ shop, then this would be just the thing he'd do a week or two out from a rally.
BTW, has anyone heard from LA Mike in years, or seen him at a rally..................???
My point exactly

Only a week away and we shall be gathering.

I will be at the shop Friday after lunch. Plan on heading out for dinner around 6pm for those who are present.

I'm loosing Robert for the weekend as he is going to Laguna Seca to be there for his brother.

This year we will be again riding Saturday with a lunch stop. Then back to the shop for dinner, fire and tales of the day.

Everyone ride safe getting here. Remember 5th st is torn up,  so you have to enter from I St to the shop.

Everyone is welcome to leave their bikes secured at the shop Friday and Saturday night if desired before the Sunday departure.

Seen you soon.
