I'm doing a feeler to who may want to try a nefjr again? It's been a while since we've had one but maybe it's time again if there's interest?
We always had a great time with awesome friends so hopefully we can do it again?
There is no dates yet, as this is just a feeler with all the BS in the world right now.  I don't get on here as much as I used to but will check in now and then. I'll post this to the FB page as well. I think it would be nice to start this up again?
Any input on roads campgrounds would be greatly appreciated.
Mountains, coastal split the weekend up with both? We have options for those that have never come up this way to visit. TIa for any interest or input. Bob w aka BFW

That sounds ideal Bob. We have family in Manchester & Bolton CT and try to spend as much time there as possible.

If there was a Rally nearby I'd definitely be up for getting there - even if my two wheels had to be pedal powered.

It would be better for us though to avoid Easter, late May and the period from Mid July to Last week in August - those are our school breaks when flight prices go through the roof !!! In those times even basic economy seats can be $1500 each (UK-Boston).

Hope to see you there some time  :good2:

We're up for a NE rally, as the ECSR went down with COVID-19. Just need to know when to arrange for time off. We're not very picky about dates.

Ya, I'd be interested too... if you're all ok with me riding my V-Strom.  The FJ is my multi-year reno project. And this really should be a good time to start it, right?  :nea:

Hi Bob - I'd like to say I am interested, though the likelihood of us actually doing the 12+hr commute is very low. But I will pay attention to this anyway just in case... "you never know".

....& what facebook page???

The way things are going I wonder if long rides are going to be a thing anytime soon.

Still not sure if we'll be in the US in late Aug/early Sept yet.....flights are booked and paid for, but travel restrictions and quarantine arrangements still might mean our flights end up getting cancelled, again (were originally due to fly out late April and home mid May).

Fingers crossed !!!!!

So we got the confirmation late yesterday that our flight out to Boston in August has been cancelled. It's no surprise really, given the news we've been reading on the Covid situation out there.

Even if the airline hadn't cancelled the flights, with travel insurance providers refusing to cover anyone over 60 for Covid 19 if travelling to "infected" countries, we know the writing was on the wall anyway. The airline have offered us alternative flights next year, or a refund. Given that they've already had our money (approx  $7k) for 6 months, we said no to another re-booking - and now they tell us it'll take 12 weeks to process a refund (Govt rules and new laws for Covid say 14 days max)......bloody charlatans, the lot of them.

So it looks like we won't be getting over there under any circumstances until next year.......so here's looking forward to the 2021 New England/North East Rally  :sarcastic:
