Unfortunately, it wasn't on the FJ, but I managed a lovely 100 mile ride around some Oxfordshire countryside today. Liz wanted me to pick up some cloth fir her to make more scrubs for the local hospital staff so I said I'd do it, but on a bike.......and my FJ MOT ran out at the back end of last year and with the awful wet winter I decided not to renew it until the spring....and then lockdown beat me to it. Luckily Liz's Fazer 1000 MOT test isn't due until August, so she agreed to let me take that.

It's no FJ.....but I really enjoyed the ride  :good2:

That's awesome and based on the weather in the photo, it looks like it was an excellent day for riding! Also, that bike looks very clean. Wish I could get my FJ lookin that clean, lol.

My FJ is dirty from sitting for a long time.  I'll be glad when I can upgrade to dirty because I'm riding and not cleaning it!

My FJ is cleaner !!! Its not been out on the roads for 6 months....

To be fair, Liz usually cleans her bike after every ride out (if its more than about 50 miles, or if its wet)....she loves that bike, probably more than she loves me  :sarcastic:

Yep, absolutely perfect riding weather, clear blue skies, no wind, quiet roads and a lovely route with a good mix of higher speed sweepers and tighter and twister lanes with smooth grippy surfaces.

One of those days we all dream about. The only thing missing was my FJ  :good2:

Sheesh, I gotta work faster on mine so I can whip it out for some of those long rides on days like that! I've got an '80 Kawasaki 440 which runs like a dream (after years of work and tinkering) but she's just not a highway bike. I bought my damn FJ just so I could go on long distance runs with the thought that I'd continue restoring the Kawasaki on the side, lol! Soon, hopefully!

I'm cleaning mine up while simultaneously working on it, but it's taking so long that it's getting dirty again, lol. Soon I hope to go on some cruises like Millietant here.
