recommended Boone tire shop?

I'm thinking i might phone ahead and make an appt for a some new PR2s Thur am; anyone have a shop to recommend?

The shop is east of Boone by a few miles on 421. I think over the years a few have bought tires there. Give them a call and see what they have.. HTH

IIRC, last year, Rossi needed a tire and went someplace and got on put on very reasonably. Can't remember where he went, but maybe he'll pipe up and tell us.

Lots of good experiences with the shop on 421 that Eric mentioned, and they certainly are convenient to the rally

I got my infamous Dunlop D401 Harley tire at the Honda shop between Boone and Mountain City (on the way to 421/Shady Valley).

Price was good for a dealer and they got right to it.

I heard it had 25,000 miles and still had the little nibs on it ...

Actually, it's closer to 30,000.
It's the only tire I've ever owned.

and wasn't it still new and slick with mold release when the R1 went down trying to keep up with you in the twisties?!   :biggrin:
