I bought the bike on a whim in 1997. I still think "what was I thinking?" but there you go. The seller was a priest, Father Divine, who taught in a priests college near Wigan. He had the FJ, a Honda CBR1000 and a BMW 1000 tourer. Kept them in the college boiler room as it was warm and dry. He'd bought the FJ as a Japanese import so he could tour churches in Spain. Did 10,000 miles. I still have it, emigrated from Manchester to the Canary Islands and enjoyed the journey. The bike was tougher than I was!.
Now?. I was reconditioning my bike, took off all fairings, tank etc and decided to drive to buy a few beers. Car parked. I noticed it moving, tried to get in, it ran over me. Remember nothing. In hospital for 3 months. 2.5 years ago. Will it run? Can I ride it?. Who knows .
