Hopefully not, but should be a fun-filled day.
I drove this route in my Firehawk about 5 years ago, and was an absolute Blast of a road.....It will not dissapoint!
A word of caution though.......This loop will take most of the day, so be prepared for long hours in the saddle...........There will most likely be various animals that could possibly cross and/or stand in the road.....These could include squirrells, coyotes, elk, deer, turkeys, wolf, cows,bears and skunks.........although I am quite certain that any of these would be terribly afraid of a group of bikes buzzing past.....nonetheless......it's one of the dangers of this route......
It will also be quite warm until we get up into the high country, so plan to keep hydrated.....
Also, on the loop back to Phoenix, if anyone has not ridden it yet, the Salt river canyon is not to be missed!!
Saturday August 14th.......If you plan to come along, show up well rested
anyone coming from out of town can crash at my place Friday night, and/or Saturday night although all I can offer you is a couch....and maybe a few beers afterwards
