I park every day next to a co-worker's BMW K1200S. I keep telling him that his is a lot newer and more refined, but my bike is like an old muscle car with a big-block.

Nice little run LOK.
I had my 1100 out today I went to Indiana to look at a parts bike.I took my hand held gps in my pocket on the way there my max speed was 103 mph not sure what odometer read.
On the way back my SPEEDOMETER read a max of 145mph which was actually 133 mph on the gps so if your odometer is the same as mine you were only going 133 mph.You should be able to break 150 mph by 5 or 6 mph.165 mph on the clock is a hair over 150 mph.

You should let him ride your 20 something bike, just to let him know that things, even though they ain't what they used to be, ain't that much better than whats 23 years old!

Good statement.
And yes, I know that was only indicated speed, not actual.

It's not a competition or science. It's about fun, where all that matters is how fast it feels like you're going! Just don't ignore the speedo, as 85 feels more like 60.

Ha! I just posted this video over on the V-Max forum. Seems the inline-4 FJ has some respect among the V-4 heavy hitters over there. The title was "A Yamaha 1200 of a different flavor." I got some positive comments, and one guys said, "It certainly isn't slow!" :good2:
