Oh well folks, I wont be able to make it to the fall rally this year. I have all my vacation time set for my trip out west to Glacier National Park at the end of August. So keep a look out for another pig chef......

Eric-

I just did a similar trip several weeks ago.  GNP that is.  Spectacular!  I flew into Missoulla and rented a Suzuki V-Strom.  Day one was GNP and then into AB, camping under the stars for the rest of the trip.  The Canadian Rockies are at least as incredible as ours.  The next 5 days, to include July 4th was spent meandering through AB -as far north as Banf, AB and as far west as Kamloops, BC.  Visited 4 different hot springs.  Back through northern ID and then a high speed blast from there down to Missoulla to get the bike back in time.  Incredible riding.  1800 miles in 6 days -some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen.

Seriously, it was beyond words.

Have fun!

Sure, two of them were more commercial -Radium Hot Springs, and Nakusp -easy enough to google.  The other two were the, ride back on dirt roads and hike in a bit- types.  My buddy had a book.  I'll email him for more details.  I was along for the ride on those, just happy to be out on a motorcycle, on great roads, with great scenery, where there are almost no cops.

Stay tuned, I'll post more out later....

Eric-

My buddy scanned the relevant pages and emailed them to me.  PM me with you email (or if you're brave, post it out here) and I'll forward the emails with jpg attachments.

When you going?  For how Long, what areas are you looking to hit?

Let me know,

Dan

Excellent Blog! Hey Marsh put this in the links section! Maybe moto-camping or Blogs or something?
Was just wondering the best way to pack for moto-camping and there it is.
