Hello all my names Dwayne and just purchased my first FJ. More due to price at first, it is an 89 FJ1200 that was running for $200. couldn't pass it up. I've been browsing the topics for a few weeks and looks like there is a wealth of info here. I have a lot of basic mechanic knowledge but bikes are fairly new to me so please excuse my questions as I dive into a new hobby. :good2:

Welcome.
$200 buy-in to the FJ world is outstanding.
Post up a picture.
You'll find that the FJ is easy to work on, and gives back in huge amounts for the effort it takes to give it the care it needs.

Welcome Dwayne, nice intro.  Lots of good information, and good people here.

$200 is a steal.

Consider attending a rally at some point.

Welcome Dwayne!  So you got a FJ for $200?  I gotta ask...Did you have a gun?  Makes all the difference.

From Thursday May 31st thru Sunday June 3rd we will be right next door to you, in Porterville, at our annual West Coast FJ Rally.

Welcome, for $200...What pat said, you stole it. Bring it down to the WCR and meet a bunch of FJ owning head cases.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.
