Or have I simply lost more of my mind?
It used to be go to gallery, copy the direct link, and insert it between the (http://) tags. Now when I do that I end up with two hyperlinks and some (//http://) tags mixed in for good measure to make sure the images don't show up in the post - but do show up in the preview pane.
Am I now supposed to just copy and past the direct link and not mess around with the other stuff anymore?
Testing...

Well, that didn't work
http://fjowners.com/gallery/11/171_29_08_20_7_57_42_9.jpeg (http://fjowners.com/gallery/11/171_29_08_20_7_57_42_9.jpeg)
Tried again...
Nope!
And again.....
On the last one, I typed in:
and it worked in preview
But got this after posting:
And shows nothing
I can't even put what I typed inside quotes to show it - it treats it like a picture with quotes on either side

I've just posted whatever turns up below in the normal picture hosting manner.

And nothing showed up !!!
When I go to modify the post, the link is in the text but nothing is showing one the post - assuming it's a glitch, or iPhone playing up !!
You need to use the "insert image" to get the picture to display. You used "insert Hyperlink". I am not an Iphone user so I hope this helps. But you could also just type the [ img] [ /img] with the path in between.
[ img]http://fjowners.com/gallery/11/171_29_08_20_7_57_42_9.jpeg[ /img] - I added a few spaces to get this code to display. To view the code on this page, "reply with quote".

In my post, I clicked on the insert image icon, which put the
(http://)
Text in the body of my post. I then copied the info from the gallery page for the photo

And inserted it between the sets of brackets - as i normally do. I did it a few times and none of them produced at photo in my post. I've done it again now, below this text and hopefully it works (I'm using my iPad this time)

If it's worked, this sentence should be showing below the picture of my FJ
This is where I copied the link info from the gallery picture - it doesn't show up in my last post

All seems normal now from my iPad !!
Seems to work fine for me.

I have a feeling it may be related to me typing something up in the notes app on my iPad or iPhone first - then copying everything over to the reply window. (Started doing that a few years ago after losing large posts while working on them and setting the phone down, switching apps, screen saver, etc). I'm thinking the url tags may get added in the notes app and it "contaminates" my post when I copy it over. Wasn't a problem in the past - thinking apple must have changed something.
Adapt and Overcome ....
Welp, based on my post last night - all of it just typed directly into the post window, and used the image tag button and pasted the direct link from the gallery between them, it still created the "extra" url tags again.
Did it from my iPad - I'll try from the computer
